ABOUT US
We kick off each riding season with a week-long springtime trip to Vermont and stay at a ski club's lodge located near Sugarbush along the Green Mountain State's famous Route 100. The lodge serves as our gateway to Vermont’s gently rolling valley roads as well as twisty and challenging mountain passes. VERMONT 2025 will run from Tuesday, May 27th through Sunday, June 1st. Details are available on the "Events" page. If you cannot stay the full week, then join us for just a few days. Arrangements are flexible.

Then, once we are back in New Jersey, we enjoy SMOG Weekends (Summer Motorcycle Overnight Getaway Weekends) throughout the summer and into the fall. Such events are scheduled on a monthly basis and each has a unique theme defined by its destination. Details are available on the "Events" page. They begin on Saturday mornings and get you home by Sunday night.
The dates and descriptions for this year’s SMOG Weekends are as follows:
6/28 - Travel the Delaware River Valley north into the Central New York State Watershed Region which can best be described as “miles of gently rolling countryside and empty sweepers”. If you have never visited this area, you are in for a treat.

7/19 - Journey to the Motorcyclepedia Museum in Newburgh, New York which contains over 650 motorcycles and related memorabilia assembled by a father-son team through a combined effort totaling 80 years. Explore the website at motorcyclepediamuseum.org.
8/16 - Dare to stay at a Haunted Hotel? The history and ghostly details of the 1867 Parkview Inn in Owego, New York are described here: hauntedhistorytrail.com/explore/1867-parkview-inn. The Inn has only 16 rooms, so reserve yours now at owegoparkviewinn.com.
9/13 - Fly up the Hudson River Valley to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, a living history aviation museum, for a Saturday afternoon airshow featuring vintage aircraft from the Golden Age of Aviation. You can even arrange a barnstorming flight in an open-cockpit biplane if you feel adventurous. Here is the website: oldrhinebeck.org.

DAY RIDES

Of course, day rides happen frequently and can occur at any time.

IN SUMMARY
Our trips are varied in nature and each is individually described in greater detail elsewhere on this website. All arrangements are relatively loose and informal. We are not a club with any dues or obligations.
However, once you indicate that you will be joining us on a trip, all we ask is that you arrive prior to the designated “kickstands up” time with a full tank of fuel and an empty bladder... And ride in a safe and responsible manner.
Email me if you have any questions or if you would like to join us on an upcoming trip. I can be reached at wanderlustriders@gmail.com.

New faces are always welcome.
